Other Laser Treatments

  • copeland_or_procedure_female_5717Facial veins. Unsightly facial veins can be treated with precise bursts of laser light, minimizing damage to the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the vein, clogging it, after which it is absorbed back into the body, disappearing from the surface of the skin.

  • Leg veins. Eliminate spider veins and varicose veins with our VersaPulse® Laser. Immediately after treatment, the vein will actually appear darker, but shortly thereafter the vein will fade. Laser treatment of leg veins usually requires several visits.

  • Hair removal. If you are tired of ingrown hairs and irritation from waxing and shaving, laser hair removal offers freedom from unwanted body hair. Now popular with both men and women, it is best suited for darker hair but new advances even allow reduction in gray or blonde hair. Commonly performed on the face, upper lip, neck, chest, periareolar, underarms, back, abdomen, bikini line, and legs, it cannot be used on the eyes. Dr. Copeland uses a variety of FDA approved lasers, such as the Light Sheer® laser, for permanent hair removal for all skin types.

  • Tattoo removal. If you have a tattoo, you are not alone. An estimated 20 million Americans sport tattoos. Laser technology has made great strides in eliminating tattoos. The laser’s short pulses of intense light pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin and are absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body’s immune system. Dr. Copeland’s array of state-of-the-art lasers helps to remove tattoos of all colors, shapes, and sizes.
