Will I Be Under an Anesthetic When I Have Calf Lipo?
We perform calf and ankle liposuction as an outpatient procedure under I.V. sedation. This “twilight” anesthesia is administered in our fully-accredited surgical suite by board-certified anesthesiologists. Patients are awake shortly after the procedure and able to go home within a short time.
You will see a difference immediately after surgery and the contour will continue to improve over the next several weeks and even months. We take a holistic approach to patient care and include one lymphatic massage in our post-surgery protocol to help reduce swelling and stimulate healing. We also advise wearing compression garments for a period of time to help achieve the best possible results.
